New Hat Style!

I made up a new hat for the little baby girls...

Basically the same hat as the baby beanies I have been making, only slightly modified. They are the same size and I have added the little flower on the side. I am so excited to make these to donate...

Orem Community Hospital

A donation of 26 Baby Beanie Hats was made to Orem Community Hospital.

My Co-worker Misty's niece delivered her daughter their on Wednesday. It was so fun to hand Misty the hats yesterday morning at work and then hear how excited everyone was to receive them. I should have some pictures to add to this post later today!

Drum Roll Please...

To date my baby beanie hat count is 74!

First donation was to Dixie Regional Medical Center - 19 Beanies
Second donation to Penny Morin of Edmonton, AB - 32 Beanies
(story to come)
and
the Third donation to ??? - 23+

I need some ideas of where to donate this next batch...

I would love comments with suggestions of Hospitals to donate to that have a personal connection to you. Please include why this hospital is important and any story you are comfortable with sharing.

At this point I think I will meet my goal of 250 well before the end of the year and so I have decided to increase my goal to 500!

This means the I should be able to make donations to quite a few hospitals so start sending me stories in the comments!

New Year, New Resolution

This year (2013) I have decided to focus on service and making a concerted effort to forget my sorrows and focus on something good...

So, between Christmas and New Year's I started working on infant beanie hats to donate to hospitals... My first donation of 19 little beanies went to Dixie Regional Medical Center on New Year's Day.

The goal I have set is to make 250 baby beanies for charitable donation... Let's see how it goes...

Just wanted to share...

I just wanted to share some of the items I have in my new shop...

I started making these cute flower coasters and have fallen in love with them... I have been using "I Love This Cotton Yarn" from Hobby Lobby and it really is super soft and easy to work with!

You can never have too many cotton dish cloths. I love making these Granny Square ones. They work up so fast and it is fun to change the colors to alternate the designs...

I am not sure how long it will take me to get my first sale in my shop but I am so excited to see what happens. Maybe it will be successful enough that I can stop working my second job... Who knows, I can hope, right?

A few little bumps on ETSY

You can find a few little bumps on Etsy... It is not totally set up yet, and I only have one listing, but it is a shop nonetheless... I will have an awesome banner in the next week or two.

I hope to list more dish cloths next week. I finally found my camera cord, so I will be using my good camera to take some better photos soon too...
